Hwa Chong

   We received the results for the Singapore Asia Pacific Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools.We achieved 2 platinium awards,2 gold awards,1 silver award and 1 bronze award.The winners are as following.

Platinium: Lim Li and Zheng Han
Gold: Wei Jue and Me
Silver: Jarod Tay
Bronze: Adriel Lim

St'Andrews

   On 25th march,wei jue,lim li and I went to st'andrews for the math and science competition.There were 20 science and 20 math question altogether and we had 40 minutes to do the paper.The science questions were tough and we fought an intense battle with the other 31 schools.
   We emerged as one of the top three schools and made our way into the second round which was also called the buzzer round.We were very pleased with ourselves and the second battle started.We did not answer any science questions as it was too tough,we were also a little slow in some of the maths questions.In the end,we won 2nd and we received a trophy each.Wei jue received another trophy for getting individual 3rd and started to brag.
    In overall,it was a wonderful learning experience for all of us even if we did not get first.We prepared ourselves for the next battle(the world maths contest)and were determined to do our best.

Adam Khoo

    On 26th march,four of us(including zheng han,yun ying and shawn)went to suntec city to take part in the second round of the adam khoo(faster than calculator)competition.It was a competition of both accuracy and speed and it was very intense.In the end,we did not win anything but it was a good learning experience.Zheng han insisted that he was 4th and we all ignored him.
   It was great to have been in the second round as only 10 people in singapore can get to the finals and we were all in it!

Annual Mathlympics 2010

I went to ACS(I) today and received the results for the Annual Mathlympics 2010. 4 Gold medals,1 Silver and 1 Bronze medal was awarded to our school.Queenstown Primary School got 3rd runner-up in whole of Singapore along with $300 cash.


Gold winners:Lim Li,Wei Jue,Jarod Tay and Me.
Silver winner:Lee Zheng Han
Bronze winner:Tarun Satish

After the awards ceremony,we went to the McDonalds at Tiong Bahru Plaza to celebrate our truimph.Mr Ng,our maths teacher,gave us a treat(not to mention he is super rich).After the delicious meal,we took the MRT back to Queenstown and went home.

DARYL'S 3RD BIRTHDAY



Daryl was anxious to cut the cake at that time.The cake was huge and it lasted 3 days before we finished it.HAHA
